There will be three parts in the test.
Part A: I will read out only 15 describing words from the list of 28 words below.   Students will spell and give the meaning of the word.  The words in orange have the same meaning as the words in white.

Describing Word              Antonyms (words that mean the same)

Mean -

cruel, vicious, unkind

Old -

elderly, aged, stale

Scary -

frightening, awful, horrific

Ugly -

hideous, nasty, gruesome

Clever -

intelligent, smart, bright

Lonely

neglected, alone, solitary

Brave

Part B: Students will fill in the missing word in a sentence by choosing the most appropriate describing word from a list provided.

Part C:  Students will read a short passage from George's Marvellous Medicine and answer questions on the reading.

6A will have the test Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013

6C will have the test on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
